Purpose of the Position: As we migrate to a learning model that supports an "always on" learning environment we will introduce new learning methodologies and technologies to Corning learners, This approach requires that we both understand the modern learner and the style of learning they prefer. With increased scope and increased customer base (learners, developers, mergers and acquisitions) we need to strengthen our internal capability to manage the research, the governance, the design and the operations for our growing learning infrastructure. We require a seasoned learning team who can leverage externals to help us move our strategy forward. Internal resources are needed to: : contribute deep learning expertise to executing the learning strategy : identify and acquire of new platforms (include IT approval, data privacy, legal and budget) : determine how to use the platform for effective learning : develop standards and training for using the platform to create and deliver : support internal developers who choose to use the technology : manage operations ( IT resources and vendors associated with each platform and user support)
Day to Day Responsibilities: Scope and design innovative learning experiences which produce the outcomes our businesses and learners seek; Leverage principles of learner:centered design to drive experience creation Span multiple levels of experience design, from high:level scaffolding to detailed learning journeys including behavioral practice, social learning opportunities, content, assessments, and more Partner collaboratively with subject matter experts to round out knowledge where needed, while owning the quality and on:time delivery of the final product Become expert on our platforms and their current and future capabilities in order to design experiences which we can support successfully now, and identify areas in which we should consider investing in the future Be responsible for managing a set of learning platforms and vendors Provide product feedback (at key phases) on functional design, feasibility and usability along with necessary testing pre:launch Provide internal Corning training resources with guidance on learning experience designScope and design innovative learning experiences which produce the outcomes our businesses and learners seek; Leverage principles of learner:centered design to drive experience creation Span multiple levels of experience design, from high:level scaffolding to detailed learning journeys including behavioral practice, social learning opportunities, content, assessments, and more Partner collaboratively with subject matter experts to round out knowledge where needed, while owning the quality and on:time delivery of the final product Become expert on our platforms and their current and future capabilities in order to design experiences which we can support successfully now, and identify areas in which we should consider investing in the future Be responsible for m
