The Specialty Materials segment manufactures products that provide more than 150 material formulations for glass, glass ceramics and fluoride crystals to meet demand for unique customer needs. Consequently, this segment operates in a wide variety of commercial and industrial markets that include display optics and components, semiconductor optics components, aerospace and defense, astronomy, ophthalmic products, telecommunications components and cover glass that is optimized for portable display devices.
Purpose of the Position:
Providing Gorilla Glass channel and distribution business with sustainable competitive advantage in global supply chain management. Defines and executes Gorilla parts supply chain channel business strategy, assuring successful operational performance of the supply base, understanding of the product's demand profile, and interface across functional, business and regional leadership. Aligns supply chain capabilities to the current and future needs of the business and operations in parts. Manages supply chain from end:to:end (supplier to customer) to enable sustainable competitive advantage. Works proactively with cross:functional teams to meet business needs, improve customer satisfaction and supply chain performance. Specific to Gorilla Glass parts business, develops and executes strategy with large scale channel/distributons/3PL to support overall business strategy.
:Manage distributor relationships and ensure distributor delivers to SLAs as specified in the distributor agreements
:Work with sourcing to develop quality and delivery SLAs (service level agreements) that achieve Corning and customer's expectations
:Management of warehouse, distribution and transportation activities
:Drive selling:out, ensure profitability and growth of the channels by continuously optimizing the fundamentals, including Distribution, Shelving, Merchandizing, Logistics and Pricing.
:Responsible for reconcile forecast and order replenishment
:Track and report inventor and supply planning against requirements
:Develop and support various inventory strategies to support operational objectives
:Ensure timely disposition and execution of discontinued inventory
:Systematically analyzing and reporting of sales/sale:through results, expectations, market, competition and trends to make proposals for improvement.
:Tracking and reporting of KPIs
:Immediately advise executive management team of any issues that may impact service to our customer
:Ability to meet and/or exceed channel financial goals
:Conduct QBR(Quarterly Business Review) with distributors or 3PL.
:Establish clear channel strategy together with external and internal stakeholders, define end:to:end supply chain operation development and collaborate with cross:functions, including Marketing, Sales, Procurement, Sourcing, Logistics and Manufacturing team.
:Work with GSM/Commercial/Sourcing team for negotiate/generate agreement with each account, coordinate and drive account.
:Develop and own channel partner integration process
:New partner on:boarding: supply chain integrations, logistics, marketing KPI tracking and analytics, etc.
:Cooperate with Commercial Team and drives other disciplines like Innovation, Marketing, SCM, Production and Quality.
